Ruthie has been a frequent vocalist and fiddler with Americana groups The Krause Family Band, The DangIts and Darling Daughters, retro western swing band The Radio Wranglers, and traditional Irish band Slipjig. She has appeared twice on A Prairie Home Companion radio show with The Krause Family Band, who were Best of Madison winners in 2019. The solo album showcases Ruthie's songwriting in many musical styles with support from members of The Brothers Quinn, The Krause Family Band, and JP Cyr & The Ramblin' Kind.
